Christian Wedding Officiant:
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! May God bless your union with a lifelong love and respect for each other throughout the journey of marriage.
Before performing your wedding ceremony, the pastor would like to meet with you as a couple, to discuss God's plan for marriage as well as plans for your ceremony. If you are coming from out of town you can meet with the pastor a day or two before the wedding, for approximately 2 hours. If you are a local the pastor would like to meet with you as a couple 2 - 3 times prior to your wedding. Please take a moment before you meet with the pastor to think about what you want your ceremony to be like. Do you want special music or reading of poetry? Also, think about the type of vows you would like to exchange. See link to sample vows.
Our pastors want to be a part of your ceremony and have it reflect our passion for marriage. Although they do not charge to meet with you and for performing your ceremony they typically receive an honorarium for the time invested in making your marriage and ceremony a special experience. Normally they receive an honorarium of $300, but do not want money to stand in the way of having them perform your ceremony. Please prayerfully consider this area and follow God's leading.
Pastor Tommy Schneider began his Christian service at Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara where his gifting and calling was quickly recognized and he was moved from janitor to intern youth pastor and eventually ordained in 1993. After serving as youth pastor at Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara for a total of six years, he felt called to minister in the Vail Valley. In 1997, he relocated his family to Avon and began what is known as Calvary Chapel Vail Valley.
Tommy has a heart and passion for couples and the union as one in marriage. He has become well known officiant among locals and visitors alike. His desire is to know the couples story to help bring a personal touch as well as God's love and design for marriage into the ceremony.
Pastor Nathan Boe has attended Calvary Chapel Vail Valley since 1998. He has been on staff as the children's pastor since March 2005. Nathan has been married since 1995 and has three children. Nathan has a passion for encouraging couples in their new life together.
